Richard Drutman Joins the Board of Directors of Garda
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 14, 2011) - Garda World Security Corporation (TSX:GW) (Garda), one of the leading Security Solutions, Cash Logistics, and Global Risk Consulting firms in the world, announces the election of a new director to its Board of Directors, Richard Drutman, increasing the number of directors to seven, following the annual and special meeting of the shareholders of Garda.
Mr. Drutman served as President of Garda Cash Logistics from 2007 to December 2010 and as Vice Chairman of Garda's U.S. Cash Logistics business until his retirement in April 2011. He was instrumental in the integration of Garda's U.S. cash logistics operations and re-branding under the Garda name.

Mr. Drutman joined the company in June 2001 as Executive Vice President with responsibility for all sales and marketing functions. Before that, he was President, CEO and Executive Vice President of Arcus Data Security, an Iron Mountain company that provides offsite data protection throughout the U.S. and Europe.
During his business career, Mr. Drutman spent 27 years as a volunteer Reserve Police Officer with the City of Monterey Park in Los Angeles County, rising to the rank of Deputy Chief. He was one of the senior officers responsible for security for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Mr. Drutman holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University at LA. He is a 25-year member of the American Association for Industrial Security, a lifetime member of the California Police Officer's Association and a recognized speaker nationally on data security, workplace violence and the cash logistics industry.
