Windsurfing

On some summer days, the sight of more than one thousand colourful sails ploughing the blue lake is breathtaking, especially if admired from the surrounding mountains.

The lake area delimited by Torbole-Malcesine-Limone is known as a real paradise of windsurfing among all surfing fans, which consider it one of the European capitals of this sport. Very popular and crowded are also other places located more to the south, like "Campione" by Tremosine and "Prà de la Fam" by Tignale, especially when the northerly wind blows.
It's mostly the northern part of the lake where important competitions take place. In this area there are numerous clubs open to surfers only. In every place there are schools of windsurfing and surf-hires and you can find windsurfing facilities in almost every hotel.

We remind you that life jacket is compulsory, that some beaches are reserved to bathing and that surfers must pay great attention to ferries, which on landing routes and in ports have absolutely right of way.
